Angelo Calvitto takes on new role at Northern Trust

Northern Trust has named Angelo Calvitto as head of the firm’s Australasia business, effective 8 June.

Calvitto takes on the role from Madeline Senior, who will assume a leadership role in the company’s London office.

Reporting to William Mak, head of Asia Pacific for Northern Trust, he will be responsible for leading the company’s business in Australasia providing asset servicing, asset management and capital markets solutions to sophisticated institutional and investment manager clients.

He joined Northern Trust in 2008 and most recently served as head of sales for the firm’s institutional business across the Asia Pacific.

Mak said: “Northern Trust’s Australasia business has undergone a dynamic period of expansion over the past few years and been a key driver of growth across the broader Asia-Pacific region.”

“Over the past ten years, Angelo Calvitto has made a valuable contribution to the expansion of our client base, product capabilities and footprint in the region, and we are pleased to appoint him to this position. His leadership, experience and regional expertise will ensure we remain best-placed to support the unique needs of our clients across the region.”
